Sleep apnoea quiz
This questionnaire will determine if you or your partner are at risk for sleep apnoea. Four questions, about a minute, and a score you can take to your GP.
OSA50
Four questions about snoring, breathing, age and waist size – weighted, and scored out of 10. Answer them about yourself or about your partner, and find out whether a home sleep study is worth discussing with a GP.
Your answers stay on this page unless you choose to have your result sent to you.
About this tool: OSA50 is a clinically validated four-item questionnaire used to screen for the risk of obstructive sleep apnoea. Its items carry different weights, and your answers are scored exactly as your clinician would score them; the result is a guide, not a diagnosis.
Notice & Disclaimer: OSA50 was developed and validated by Chai-Coetzer CL et al (Thorax 2011). This screening tool provides an initial assessment of obstructive sleep apnoea risk for informational purposes only and does not constitute a formal medical diagnosis or replace a consultation with a qualified clinician.
What OSA50 is for
